Profhilo treatment has been a breakthrough treatment for anti-ageing. It’s the first injectable hyaluronic acid used for skin remodeling and treating skin laxity. Treatment is available in 43 countries and has received Amec and Aesthetics Awards.
What does it do?
The Profhilo treatment is a stabilised hyaluronic acid that treats skin laxity. It is an effective non-surgical facelift treatment that does more than simply filling lines and wrinkles. The dermal cells are nourished and helps firm the skin. Your skin is renewed from within by stimulating the production of both collagen and elastin. Most patients notice more radiant, hydrated and improved skin tone after just one session.
Who’s it for?
Profhilo is suitable for all skin types but is most effective on those who are starting to see a reduced amount of collagen production and notice some crepey skin. We usually suggest this treatment is best for those aged between 40-50 years old. However, we have also seen great results in those who are younger and older. We don’t suggest anyone younger than 30 to require Profhilo treatment though.
What can I expect during the treatment?
After your consultation treatment with our experienced medical professional, a numbing cream will be applied to the area to be treated. Once the numbing cream has taken effect, the Profhilo is injected into the skin using the BAP technique (Bio Aesthetic Points). This technique involves 5 entry points of injection for each side of the face to give the best and most even results. Doctor Nyla is also able to treat the neck, decolletage, hands, and arms. These areas were once difficult to combat anti-ageing, but the groundbreaking Profhilo is able to treat them effectively.
How many treatments will I need?
70% of patients will see an improvement in the fullness of their skin after just one treatment. Significant improvement to skin hydration is seen after one treatment too. After the second treatment, most patients also notice a vast improvement to their skin elasticity. This is why we suggest all patients receive 2 treatments, with a one month interval. Depending on the level of ageing, we may suggest a maintenance treatment after 2 months. The effects of the treatments will last 6 months.
Are there any side effects?
As with any aesthetic procedure, there is always a risk of complications when injectables are involved. This is why we encourage patients to come to Doctor Nyla at her Flagship Medispa Cheshire, Medispa Liverpool or Harley Street in London. Injectables should always be carried out by an experienced and qualified medically trained professional. There is a tendency for some bruising or swelling to the injected area. You may also experience some tenderness or itching, but all of these side effects generally disappear within 24 hours.
