Ultherapy is a non-invasive, FDA-approved skin restoration treatment that delivers High Intensity Focussed Ultrasound (HIFU) beneath the skin to the correct tissue planes. During the process of ageing, collagen and elastin is lost from the structure of the skin. This results in the appearance of sagging skin, volume loss and wrinkles to give a tired look.

With Ultherapy, ageing doesn’t have to age your skin.

Though ageing can be a beautiful thing, it doesn’t always look like it on the outside. A loss of collagen and elastin in the skin results in a reduction in skin laxity and volume, leading to fine lines, wrinkles and sagging skin. Making us look older than we feel, our self-esteem and confidence can take a hit too. At Doctor Nyla, we are dedicated to reversing the effects of ageing and restoring our clients’ youthful beauty so that they look and feel good about themselves. Ultherapy is the perfect treatment for tackling the various signs of ageing, by lifting, tightening and smoothing out the treated area and leaving the skin flawless.

Treating areas as varied as the chin, neck, jawline and decolletage, Ultherapy is the only FDA-approved treatment that uses ultrasound to target the SMAS layer of skin. During the treatment, your skin’s underlying tissue will be gently heated to encourage collagen production without damaging the skin’s upper layers. With results noticeable within a few days, it’s no wonder that our clients from cities as varied as Manchester, Glasgow, Swansea, Liverpool and London visit us for their Ultherapy needs.

Ultherapy is the only non-invasive, FDA-approved skin restoration treatment that delivers high intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) beneath the skin to the correct tissue planes. Aimed at the muscle, skin and superficial wrinkles, the ultrasound stimulates collagen production deep within the skin, as well as elastin production. This results in firmer skin, less sagging and fewer wrinkles, as well as smoother skin.

Lifting and tightening skin on the neck, jowls, eyebrows and decolletage, as well as the chin, jawline and eye area, Ultherapy has got quite the celebrity following. Popular with the likes of Christie Brinkley, Jennifer Aniston, Kim Kardashian and Gwyneth Paltrow, this non-surgical treatment promises to turn back the clock and restore your skin back to its youthful exterior in no time at all.

Unlike Ultracel which uses both ultrasound and radio-frequency to treat the superficial layers and SMAS layers of the skin, Ultherapy simply uses ultrasound. However, during your treatment, Ultrasound imaging allows us to actually see the layers of tissue targeted during treatment, ensuring the energy is being delivered where it will be most effective. Unlike lasers, surgery and other such technologies, there are no incisions, no needles and no pain with Ultherapy, and therefore it makes for a safe and effective treatment.

No longer is the facelift your other option for skin rejuvenation. We’ve helped thousands of clients get back their youthful beauty and we are proud to offer our clients such a fantastic treatment that provides them with the results they’re after.

OUR PROCESS

Doctor Nyla is an advocate for safe working practices within the aesthetic industry, and therefore, when it comes to her clients, she is dedicated to their care. She creates personalised treatment plans for each and every one of them, to ensure they receive the best possible results.

Your treatment plan is based on a thorough assessment of the area to be treated, as well as your medical history. During your consultation, we’ll ask you a wealth of questions to ensure your safety during the procedure, and we’ll advise you on what to do pre-treatment. This involves removing makeup and other skin care products from the area, and if you are on any medications that may affect your ability to drive, ensure a family member or friend is available to pick you up from the clinic.

During the Ultherapy treatment, we will firstly clean the area to remove any oil or residue, and apply an ultrasound gel. The device is then placed against the skin, and we will adjust its settings to match the area. Ultrasound energy is then delivered to the target area, and you might experience feelings of heat and tingling during the treatment. If you feel any discomfort, we can administer pain medication. When the process is complete, the device is removed from the skin.

Dependent on the size of the treatment area, a single procedure can take up to 90 minutes. For example, Ultherapy on the face and area can take anywhere between 60 – 90 minutes. Daily activities such as work, exercise and socialising can be resumed following treatment, as no downtime is required whatsoever.

Though some patients see the results of Ultherapy immediately, full results appear over 3 – 6 months as new collagen works to lift and tighten skin on the treated areas.

Ultherapy works to lift and tighten the skin on the neck, jowls, eyebrows and decolletage, as well as the chin, jawline and eye area.

A device is placed against the skin and we will adjust the settings to match that area. Ultrasound energy is then delivered to the target area and you might experience feelings of heat and tingling during the treatment. The tissues in the middle layer of the dermis start to gently warm, which stimulates the collagen fibres. This encourages the production of new collagen to provide strength and stability to the underlying structure.

Patients treated with Ultherapy, our non-surgical cosmetic procedure still have fresh young collagen after a year’s time following the procedure, but skin continues to age. Future touch-up treatments can help keep pace with the aging process, which varies by individual.

Ultherapy can be effective on ageing skin, and can help to reduce the appearance of sagging skin, wrinkles and facial volume loss. Many people request the help of Ultherapy to reverse the ageing process, as well as to support the skin and pause its continuing effects.

The treatment is approved by the FDA (Food and Drugs Administration); an organisation that is responsible for protecting public health. Doctor Nyla oversees the stringent training process that her team are required to undergo, before they can perform any treatment.

The majority of patients only need one treatment; however, some may benefit from more than one treatment depending on how much laxity they have and their body’s own biological response to the ultrasound and the collagen-building process.

As Ultherapy uses ultrasound energy it does not cause pain or discomfort. A warming sensation may be felt as the treatment progresses, but the temperature of the skin will be closely monitored to ensure it does not overheat.

The treatment area may look red for up to 1 hour. In some cases, the skin can look slightly swollen and tingling may be felt. Your practitioner will give you advice on how to manage any possible sensitivity.

As swelling is a possible side effect, you may find it beneficial to sleep with your head propped up. Sensitive skin should be properly protected by the sun, using a high SPF (50+). Doctor Nyla advocates the advantages of appropriate skin care, for which her specialists can advise.
