Skin Tightening Liverpool
Skin tightening is available in Liverpool as a non-invasive procedure that delivers stunning results.
In years past, people might have turned to full cosmetic procedures to create the impression of tighter skin. Such invasive surgical treatments do not address the root cause, but they can have some success in making the client look that bit more youthful.
However, non-invasive treatments are now heavily favoured, this is because they can deliver outstanding results that address the root causes of sagging skin, plus being much more affordable with no recovery time to speak of.
In Liverpool, effective skin tightening treatments through laser, ultrasound and radiotherapy are available at Dr Nyla’s clinic – Dr Nyla the proud recipient of the Top Cosmetic Clinic Award in the UK for 2019.
TARGETING LOOSE SKIN – AREAS TREATED
Skin can be made more taut in almost any area where there is concern it has lost elasticity.
Often this is around the face and neck – loose, sagging skin can make the person appear older than they might desire, skin tightening is one of the most effective ways to regain a more youthful complexion, a complexion that is brighter and more vibrant yet still completely natural.
At a consultation, it would be possible to discuss which areas are suitable for treatment and the results achievable in your individual case.
However, to give a guide, the skin tightening methods would be suitable for the following (this not intended as an exhaustive list)
Double chin
Marionette Lines
Neck wrinkles
The abdomen
Inner thighs
Body
Around the eyes including eyelids and brows
Full face – creating an impact that can look like a full facelift, yet at a fraction of the cost
Cheeks
INVASIVE V NON INVASIVE SKIN TIGHTENING
For an invasive procedure to be worth considering it must be able to deliver results far in advance of those via a non-invasive procedure.
Otherwise, what is the benefit?
An invasive procedure such as through a cosmetic surgeon is expensive, it involves going under general anaesthetic and there is likely to be a lengthy recovery and recuperation period, potentially including time off work.
A non-invasive procedure has none of those downsides.
What, though, of the results?
As shown in the images on this site, the results can be profound and this true on multiple areas of the body. In a consultation, Dr Nyla would show you results from procedures similar to yours and be fully open and to what can be achieved.
The results are actually more predictable than those of surgery as there is no need for swelling to settle down or wounds to heal. With surgery, this has to be factored in, even though everyone’s will heal differently.
One huge benefit of the non-invasive procedure is that it tackles the underlying cause of the loose skin.
As we age, our collagen creation becomes depleted and this leads to skin losing elasticity. Surgery counters this by repositioning skin, non-invasive techniques instead stimulate collagen creation.
There are different non-surgical options available, but a common link is this approach of regenerating the skin’s production of elements that are more plentiful in our youth.
Laser Skin Tightening
Laser skin tightening heats the deep layers of skin to stimulate collagen and elastin creation.
As newer versions of the technology have emerged, this form of treatment has grown in popularity – it is worth noting that Dr Nyla, as you would expect of the UK’s top clinic, uses the very latest versions of technology.
These treatments have replaced CO2 options, which were a somewhat basic form of skin tightening – they worked by completely removing a top layer of skin to reveal a new one. There was a recovery period with this approach and some risk of scarring.
Modern treatments such as UltraPulse laser skin resurfacing penetrate deeper and more quickly – they reach the target cells with less thermal damage to surrounding tissue.
This leads to the double benefit of profound results with a shortened recovery time – the rejuvenation is initiated without scarring to the surface.
Radio frequency and Ultrasound work by delivering energy to the deep tissue. This stimulates collagen creation, this then facilitating tissue contraction and skin tightening.
Ultrasound treatments such as ultherapy are trusted by the likes of Jennifer Aniston and Gwyneth Paltrow – women who look stunning, yet natural. Much of their appearance is down to healthy lifestyles and good genes – but a fair bit is down to careful selection of treatments too.
In most instances, anyone with areas of skin they would like to see tightened is a suitable candidate, this because the treatments are non-invasive and so only stimulate natural processes.
The benefit of having multiple forms of non-invasive skin tightening technology is that different approaches can be used as appropriate. There is no singular best form of the technology, the best option will vary by patient, part of the body being treated and desired results.
Please arrange a consultation to discuss your specific hopes for treatment.
Laser? Radio? Ultrasound? Which skin tightening option is most suitable for me?
It is impossible to answer this in a web page as a detailed consultation would be required.
What can be said is that, whether it is Ultherapy, or Ultraformer3 or NuEra, which uses radio frequency or laser skin tightening, there are likely to be suitable treatment options that will deliver the visible changes you desire.
Noninvasive treatments produce results that last for a good many months and often closer to two years.
Further, more specific timeframes would be discussed at consultation.
It is usual to have follow-up procedures in future to maintain the results achieved.
Side effects are limited to mild swelling, some potential redness and perhaps a short term tingling sensation.
This is quite different to a full surgical procedure, where there is a need for general anaesthetic and then a reasonably lengthy recovery and recuperation period.
Results may be visible immediately, but these will not be the final results.
Collagen creation will continue and the results will become more profound, restoring the skin elasticity that the patient desired.
Often, only one treatment is required to achieve optimal results.
However, as with questions above, fuller details can only be provided at a consultation that is specific to your requirements.

Liverpool is a city in Merseyside, north west England with a population just shy of 500,000 as of the 2011 census.
Liverpool’s growth has been relatively recent – and rapid. As of the 16th century it had a population of just 500 people.
This was to change over the next two centuries as Liverpool become a major trading port, its growth reflecting that of the north west in general through the Industrial Revolution.
The city is of course now one of the world’s greatest, notable across many disciplines and industries.
However, it is perhaps through culture that Liverpool’s legacy is the greatest, the city home to a staggering array of bands, sporting stars and teams and other cultural icons.
Liverpool FC are the current Premier League champions, while city rivals Everton also have a rich history.
Both the world’s most successful all-male band and all-female bands include members from Liverpool – the Spice Girls and a band called the Beatles. You might have heard of them. John Lennon, Paul McCartney and the boys of course famous Liverpudlians.
