How Does Ultherapy Work?

Doctor Nyla performs her Ultherapy skin lifting treatment at the Medispa clinics in Alderley Edge in Cheshire, Liverpool and Mayfair in London.

Ultherapy is the only non-invasive, FDA-approved skin restoration treatment that delivers high intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) beneath the skin to the correct tissue planes. Aimed at the muscle, skin and superficial wrinkles, the ultrasound stimulates collagen production deep within the skin, as well as elastin production. This results in firmer skin, less sagging and fewer wrinkles, as well as smoother skin.

Lifting and tightening skin on the neck, jowls, eyebrows and decolletage, as well as the chin, jawline and eye area, Ultherapy has got quite the celebrity following. During the Ultherapy treatment, we will firstly clean the area to remove any oil or residue, and apply an ultrasound gel. The device is then placed against the skin, and we will adjust its settings to match the area. Ultrasound energy is then delivered to the target area, and you might experience feelings of heat and tingling during the treatment. If you feel any discomfort, we can administer pain medication. When the process is complete, the device is removed from the skin.

  I have just had my 4th Morpheus 8 treatment with Caitliyn and felt really valued as a person by her excellent care.   Had cool sculpting done three months ago have to say I am really impressed with the results. The staff are super super friendly and everyone is very chilled.

I really liked nurse Debbie. Dr Vadim was super informative too as a surgeon gave me his genuine insight into why nonsurgical treatments can be even more effective than surgery or liposuction itself. They were both super friendly, very informative and gave me lots of options and choices about what treatments I could have the fact that she has had these treatments itself was really impressive, and she certainly looked very good !

I could strongly recommend coming to the Cheshire Medi spa because the reception staff are very friendly and very welcoming. The therapists are extremely experienced and the nurses and doctors that you speak to a very well informed and give you options in a non-pressurised non-sales way!

  I came in with my daughter who had a chronic skin condition that needed light therapy. Honestly  your staff were amazing, absolutely amazing with her.  She was massively struggling with self confidence with the way she looked and walking into a clinic like yours wouldn’t have been easy for her.

Each and every one of them over the period we came in made her feel completely at ease. The treatment was done with minimum fuss in a friendly atmosphere. Each time we left feeling so happy and positive. The  clinic was an absolute life saver at a time we were struggling massively.

  As a older man I felt really insecure about coming to such an incredible place with so much hype about the doctors here that I have to say I am so pleasantly surprised. The receptionist knew my first name she was so sweet and gave me so much attention. The nurse assist me was absolutely exceptional and made me feel so comfortable. I saw a male Dr who made me feel boosted like I had Hope, and also gave me a full MOT as well as a big lecture about smoking. Three months later, I feel fighting fit. I have had a lot of Coolsculpting and I genuinely feel like I did when I was 30 years old.

Highly recommend this place for those of you who feel like you don’t fit in because guess what you will fit in here . It’s like a home to home

  Recently had the ultra cell treatment at the Medispa group I had one in the Liverpool clinic and one in the Mayfair clinic and I have to say I’ve had a fantastic result.

The lady who did my treatment was extremely efficient she was a nurse and in Mayfair Dr Vadim  did my treatment he also was very good had a fantastic bedside manner and was really caring about my concerns.

I have to say over the 40 years I have been to very many cosmetic clinics however this clinic run by Dr. Nyla  Has  to be one of the best medical clinics  I have ever been to mainly because they have an outstanding reputation, are extremely trustworthy  but also They understand you r concerns and give you the best experience I’ll take that Customer Service extremely seriously.

It is also extremely interesting  That since I am going to be relocating and may not be able to attend the Medispa clinic I have made some inquiries locally and every clinic is absolutely intrigued I’m very competitive towards the Medispa group particularly asking me on how they have found that experience it is with this hindsight and the fact that they are so highly sort of I have decided to make the 3 1/2 our journey are going to have my annual top up with only the Medi spa group.  My friend has recently had Botox and fillers from the Medispa in Cheshire with Dr. Nyla  herself and she is absolutely ecstatic,  in fact six months later she said her Botox is still very strong and her fillers look so natural !

What is Ultherapy skin tightening?

Unlike Ultracel which uses both ultrasound and radio-frequency to treat the superficial layers and SMAS layers of the skin, Ultherapy simply uses ultrasound. However, during your treatment, Ultrasound imaging allows us to actually see the layers of tissue targeted during treatment, ensuring the energy is being delivered where it will be most effective. Patients treated with Ultherapy, our non-surgical cosmetic procedure still have fresh young collagen after a year’s time following the procedure, but skin continues to age. Future touch-up treatments can help keep pace with the aging process, which varies by individual.

Ultherapy can be effective on ageing skin, and can help to reduce the appearance of sagging skin, wrinkles and facial volume loss. Many people request the help of Ultherapy to reverse the ageing process, as well as to support the skin and pause its continuing effects.

The treatment is approved by the FDA (Food and Drugs Administration); an organisation that is responsible for protecting public health. Doctor Nyla oversees the stringent training process that her team are required to undergo, before they can perform any treatment.

The majority of patients only need one treatment; however, some may benefit from more than one treatment depending on how much laxity they have and their body’s own biological response to the ultrasound and the collagen-building process.

As Ultherapy uses ultrasound energy it does not cause pain or discomfort. A warming sensation may be felt as the treatment progresses, but the temperature of the skin will be closely monitored to ensure it does not overheat.

The treatment area may look red for up to 1 hour. In some cases, the skin can look slightly swollen and tingling may be felt. Your practitioner will give you advice on how to manage any possible sensitivity.

As swelling is a possible side effect, you may find it beneficial to sleep with your head propped up. Sensitive skin should be properly protected by the sun, using a high SPF (50+). Doctor Nyla advocates the advantages of appropriate skin care, for which her specialists can advise.
