Face Treatments
Mesotherapy
Mesotherapy is a skin rejuvenation treatment that can be used on areas of both the face and body. Mainly used to improve the appearance of a tired complexion, mesotherapy can reduce the look of wrinkles and an uneven tone on the face and neck. The same principles can be applied to the skin on other areas of the body, helping to fade stretch marks, cellulite and even to encourage new hair growth.
During the mesotherapy treatment a handheld device is applied to the surface of the skin. A series of microinjections will then enable a nourishing solution of active ingredients to penetrate down to the mesoderm (the layer of fat and tissue that lies just beneath the skin). This process helps to encourage the production of collagen and elastin for skin that is firmer and fuller, as well as improving circulation and hydration. When used to address cellulite and stretch marks, it is the growth of new collagen that enhances the health and condition of the skin for a smoother, more even appearance.
The injectable solution that is introduced to the skin contains a cocktail of vitamins, minerals, hyaluronic acid, natural extracts and homeopathic agents. The blend that is used for you can be tailored according to your concerns and the outcome you are seeking to achieve. The experts at Doctor Nyla have the medical know-how and skill to put together a bespoke treatment plan that meets your needs. A course of between 3 and 10 procedures can produce the clear and radiant look you desire, with the results developing further with each individual session.
Mesotherapy may be suitable for both men and women who are affected by dull skin, dry skin, dark circles, sun damage, cellulite or stretch marks. The conditions that affect the face and neck can often arise as a person gets older and the internal and external structure of the skin changes. Cellulite and stretch marks can also appear with age, but not necessarily, as they will often appear at times when the body experiences growth and change.
Mesotherapy can be a safe method of skin rejuvenation if a thoroughly conducted consultation has been carried out prior to the treatment. This treatment is often recommended according to your personal concerns and the outcome of a health assessment. If it is considered that you are at risk of reacting to the ingredients or method of application, you will not be recommended.
As the method of application uses a series of microinjections, there is a chance that you may feel some slight discomfort upon administration. Your practitioner may offer you the use of a topical numbing prior to the start of treatment, which may help to minimise any sensitive feelings.
Minor bruising at the site of treatment may appear soon after the procedure. This effect could last for up to 1 week, but you may be able to conceal any marks using make-up. Any accompanying redness will usually settle within a few hours.
As the skin at the treated area can sometimes feel sensitive it would be advised that you take care not to over-expose the skin to the sun. Doctor Nyla would always stress the importance of applying a suitable SPF to the skin on a daily basis. This would be even more important for the protection of your skin, while your treatment course is in progress and for the weeks that follow.
