Virtually painless hair removal for all skin types, all-year-round.
The most common methods of hair removal include waxing, shaving and tweezing, which can be time-consuming and sometimes painful. Dr Nyla’s clinics in Cheshire, Liverpool and Harley Street London, offers patients a leading hair removal technique that reduces hair without any irritation, pigmentation change or scarring. The M22 laser is an effective, alternative hair removal treatment that’s convenient and permanent; making hair removal easy.
M22 targets and removes a large amount of unwanted hair without hurting or damaging the surrounding areas, using specially designed pulses of fluorescent light. Melanin in the hair absorbs the light, transmitting the heat into the follicle, killing the hair at the root without damage to the skin.
M22’s unique gradual heating method effectively damages the hair follicles whilst avoiding injury to the surrounding skin. The sweeping delivery technique keeps the laser in constant motion ensuring full coverage. Simultaneous contact cooling prevents burns and allows for more comfortable treatment. A specialised applicator allows your physician to treat large areas in less time.
Prices are per session and may differ across doctors and nurses.
Laser hair removal uses fluorescent light which removes unwanted hair. During the process, melanin will absorb the light and the hair transmits the heat into the follicle. This results in dead hair follicles without damage to the epidermis.
The laser removes a large amount of hair at the same time. However, depending upon the area that needs treating, this will determine how long the session lasts. This will be discussed in a consultation beforehand.
The pulse of the hair removal laser only affects hair follicles that are producing hair at the time of the treatment. All follicles must be at the growth phase before they can be effectively treated. This means that treatment must be repeated until all hair follicles have passed through the growing phase. Of course everyone is an individual but generally it can take a 6 month period with 6 treatments needed.
