Should I avoid anything after Botox treatment?
Your skin will be sensitive after the injections and will need gentle treatment for a while. Try to take the following precautions for optimum results:
- Avoid touching or rubbing your face.
- Avoid use of any ‘active skincare for three days after your treatment. This includes products containing Alpha Hydroxy Acids, Beta Hydroxy Acids, Retinol (Vitamin A), Vitamin C (in a low pH formula) .
- Stay out of the sun for 24 hours and do not use a sun bed for the same period.
- Avoid extremes of temperature like hot showers and baths or saunas
- Do not go swimming for at least 24 hours post-treatment as the chemicals in the water could irritate your skin.
- Avoid exercise or vigorous activity for the first 24 hours.
- Don’t drink alcohol on the day of the treatment.
- Do not lie face down following the treatment, this may cause the botox to move from the intended area of your face.
- Do not use ibuprofen for a fortnight after treatment.

From the North
Take the A34 south until the B5359/Alderley Road roundabout. Take the first exit onto Alderley Road, and we are on the right, opposite The Merlin Hotel.
From the South
Take Junction 18 from the M6 towards Congleton.
At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto Middlewich Road, then turn right and then left onto Macclesfield Road.
At the roundabout, take the second exit to stay on Macclesfield Road.
At the next roundabout, take the third exit onto Alderley Road.
After 4 miles, Dr. Nyla Medispa is opposite The Merlin Hotel on your left.
