Doctor Nyla's Training Academy

what is this treatment image

Doctor Nyla has been running her highly regarded Medispa Cheshire since 2013, to great success. Following a successful career as a GP and partner in private practice, Doctor Nyla made the switch to aesthetics after seeing how many of her patients struggled with their confidence and self-esteem as they got older and felt the natural ageing process catch up to them. Having had non-surgical aesthetics procedures herself, including anti-wrinkle injections (botox) and dermal fillers, she knew the massive impact these kinds of procedures could have on the self-perception of men and women. She also knew she had the medical knowledge needed to genuinely help them make a change to their confidence and lives in an environment that was safe, comfortable and secure, and so Medispa Cheshire was born.

Since opening her clinic in 2013, Doctor Nyla has become a prominent figure in the world of aesthetics, having opened clinics in Wilmslow, Alderley Edge, Liverpool, Birmingham and on London’s Harley Street, and gained a long and loyal client list, including some of the UK’s most well-known celebrities. Together, Doctor Nyla and her team of medical and aesthetic experts have performed over 65,000 injectable treatments since Medispa Cheshire was founded, so our clients know they are in safe hands.

Using expert injection techniques, Doctor Nyla and her medical team can combine the art of aesthetics with the science of medicine to create amazing results that stun her clients every time. Now, Doctor Nyla wants to share her knowledge with other medical professionals to help give patients all over the country the opportunity to feel incredible about themselves.

What Treatments Do We Offer Training In?

We currently offer training in non-surgical aesthetic injectables, primarily anti-wrinkle injections (botox) and dermal fillers. During your training course with Doctor Nyla and her medical team, you’ll develop an understanding of how and when to use different treatments, as well as a variety of injection techniques to treat different conditions and areas of the face effectively.

Who Can Attend Our Courses?

Our courses have been designed with medical professionals, such as doctors and nurses in mind. Delegates are required to be a member of the GMC or NMC before signing up to courses with Doctor Nyla and her Medical team.

Can I Train In Anti-Wrinkle Injection Treatments If I’m Not A Prescriber?

As a prescription-only drug, botulinum toxin needs to be prescribed by a qualified prescriber, though can be administered by another practitioner. During your course, we’ll provide prescribers to give you the relevant practical experience. After the course, non-prescribers will have to partner with local prescribers or use a prescriber service. However, GMC guidelines indicate that prescribers do need to have a face-to-face consultation with patients before administering a prescription.

Where Are Our Courses Held?

Our courses are held at one of Doctor Nyla’s clinics in Cheshire, Birmingham, Liverpool or London’s Harley Street.

About Our Training Courses

As one of the UK’s most recognisable names in aesthetics and aesthetic medicine, training with Doctor Nyla is an invaluable opportunity for medical professionals hoping to move into the field of aesthetics, and is a mark of excellence recognised by both industry insiders and practitioners, and clients across the country.

Who Are They For?

Our training courses are designed for medical professionals who want to move into aesthetics or expand their knowledge and skills. We’ve designed these courses with medical professionals in mind, to build on your current knowledge and introduce you to the art of aesthetics. These courses give doctors and nurses the opportunity to learn from Doctor Nyla and her world-class team of medical professionals, while also helping you to grow your skill set and build on existing skills. Our courses require you to be a member of the GMC or NMC before signing up, as we cover complex concepts that require a strong medical understanding.

What Do We Teach?

At Doctor Nyla’s Training Academy, we offer in-depth courses into injectable treatments, including Botulinum Toxin (Botox) and Dermal Fillers. These are some of the most popular aesthetic treatments available, with over 6 million anti-wrinkle injections treatments being carried out every year. Not only will you learn the specific techniques that result in effective, beautiful aesthetic treatments, you’ll also begin to develop your eye for aesthetics, which is where the artistic side of our work comes in. The more understanding and practice you have in administering aesthetic treatments, the more effectively you can identify areas for improvement, understand the techniques needed to treat these areas, and carry them out in a safe, comfortable treatment plan.

We teach a wide variety of different dermal filler techniques, including how to effectively treat the:

  • Jawline, to help sharpen and sculpt the face.
  • Nose, to carry out non-surgical rhinoplasty treatments.
  • Tear troughs, to reduce shadows under the eyes.
  • Marionette lines, to lift the corners of the mouth.
  • Nasolabial folds, to gently reduce nose-to-mouth lines.
  • Lips, to add volume, create symmetry and define the lip line.
About Our Training Courses

Why Train In Non-Surgical Aesthetics and Injectable Treatments?

Greater Income Opportunities

As aesthetics are primarily a private healthcare sector, the opportunities for income as an aesthetic doctor can be incredibly high, and aesthetic medicine offers even more opportunities for high-income roles. The number of aesthetic treatments being carried out has skyrocketed in recent years, with non-surgical injectable treatments like anti-wrinkle injections and dermal fillers at the forefront of this trend. In 2017, the aesthetics market was worth over £40.5 billion internationally and is expected to grow to over £53 billion by 2022, so the demand for non-surgical aesthetics is incredibly high, and skilled, expertly-trained medical professionals are in high demand.

Expand Your Clinical Skills

As medical professionals, training and development are a massively important part of staying at the forefront of patient safety and effective treatment techniques. Expanding your clinical skills with training in non-surgical aesthetics opens up a new breadth of knowledge and understanding, so whether you’re planning to move into aesthetic medicine or not, training with Doctor Nyla can improve your knowledge in a variety of disciplines. A strong understanding of injectables also provides a great foundation for more complex aesthetic treatments, such as thread lifts, microneedling procedures, IV Drips and other skin treatments. There are also many treatments outside of the field of aesthetics that utilise the techniques you’ll learn from Doctor Nyla and her team, such as botulinum toxin injections for hyperhidrosis and migraines.

Less Pressure And Fewer Working Hours

The pressure and mental strain that comes with being a medical professional can be enormous. While the work is incredibly rewarding, long shifts, minimal breaks, emotionally and physically demanding work, irregular hours and more can make working in medicine a very stressful field. As aesthetics is primarily a private practice and takes place in clinic surroundings the vast majority of the time, it can be a break from the high demands of a hospital environment with a more defined schedule and more flexibility in the days, time and hours you work. For many medical professionals, having the holidays or festive periods off work to spend with loved ones isn’t realistic, while in an aesthetics clinic you can dictate dates and times you practice, especially if you are working for yourself. Workdays are also generally much shorter and regular in a private clinic environment, therefore flexible working practices are far more likely to be an option than in public healthcare.

An Opportunity To Be Creative And Add Variety to Your Career

One of the reasons many medical professionals move into aesthetics is the fact that it is inherently an artistic and creative field. Balancing facial symmetry, identifying areas of concern and having the knowledge to recommend bespoke treatment plans for different patients and conditions are all areas that as an aesthetic doctor, you can creatively stretch yourself and your skills. Aesthetics isn’t just a science, there is an element of personal taste that makes up a huge part of being an aesthetic doctor. Understanding this, developing your own style and being able to understand and incorporate the tastes of your patients when it comes to their treatments is the hallmark of an excellent aesthetic practitioner.

Create Lasting Relationships with Your Patients

As an aesthetics practitioner, returning clients should be a massive part of your business. The injectable treatments that you’ll learn about with Doctor Nyla aren’t permanent treatments, and so you can expect to see anti-wrinkle clients every three to four months, and dermal filler patients once or twice per year. Creating and nurturing these relationships is of the utmost importance, to ensure clients feel safe and comfortable in your care, and ensure that they trust your advice enough to only try treatments you recommend, helping to keep them safe. As well as being vital for patient safety, creating lasting and regular relationships with your clients that keeps them returning for repeated treatments, and also recommending you through word-of-mouth is a great way to create a sustainable business model.

Helping Clients Make Safe, Responsible Decisions

There are currently very few regulations on the use of anti-wrinkle injections and dermal filler treatments in the UK. Many of these treatments can be carried out by individuals with no medical training and in environments without any regulations or safe, sanitary conditions. Doctor Nyla has been outspoken in her opposition to this ‘budget’ injectables market, and is passionate about improving patient safety for non-surgical aesthetic treatments. By training medical professionals with a high regard for patient safety and confidentiality, as well as a deep understanding of the medical principles behind the field of aesthetics, we can help to improve the safety of the industry as a whole and give clients a wide variety of safe choices when it comes to choosing their aesthetic practitioner.
