Coolsculpting is a treatment for removing fat in specific areas of the body.

The process is actually one form of fat freezing or cryolipolysis – and by far the most effective, it is the version with full approval and the one used by all leading clinics.

We would suggest that fat freezing and Coolsculpting are synonymous in that anyone considering fat freezing would be advised to only consider the Coolsculpting option.

Coolsculpting works by freezing fat cells in the area being treated, these cells then die and are naturally expelled by the body over time.

The results have been verified by multiple review papers.

Suitability will always ultimately be determined at consultation, but broadly speaking this is a treatment for those who are in general good health but have an area or areas of localised fat that would like to see gone.

This is a problem so many of us have suffered with. However much we exercise, however good our diet it is common for fat to remain in certain places.

The body actually likes to hang on to some fat deposits, we, however would rather it didn’t.

These pockets of fat may be in the abdomen, or the thighs, or perhaps a double chin region (sub-mental fat). The regions vary by person, but the issue is the same.

Diet or exercise will not treat this issue, or at least not quickly – though of course good diet and exercise are always to be recommended for general good health. The fat you want to see gone may be the very last to go via diet and exercise.

Coolsculpting will target the specific area. It is not a tool for weight loss, or obesity or general health.

Instead, it does one thing amazingly well – removing fat in the area when it is applied.

Coolsculpting can be used on most areas of the body where localised fat can occur.

This includes, but is not limited to:

Stomach
Arms
Thighs
Buttocks
Double chin
Flanks
Hips
Back
Many will just have one area treated, but it is possible to address multiple areas simultaneously. Those in London are fortune in that the only Quadsculpting clinic in the UK is Doctor Nyla’s wonderful Harley Street location.

You can have four distinct areas of localised fat addressed simultaneously, this producing truly life enhancing results in just a short time.

If you are unsure whether Coolsculpting is the treatment for you, please contact us for an obligation-free conversation.

Coolsculpting can remove as much as 25% of the fat from an area being treated in a single treatment and far more than this over multiple treatments.

However, the true impact is perhaps best shown in before and after images rather than by words – what does a 25% reduction look like, or a 60% reduction?

The amount of fat to be removed will vary by patient and the desired results and skillful application ensures the results are as expected.

Please browse the image gallery to see how Coolsculpting has helped so many patients – this is a treatment that has been used more than three million times globally and Doctor Nyla became an advocate after trying out this wonderful technology herself and seeing the results possible.

As with any non-surgical procedure by a skilled practitioner, the process always begins with a detailed consultation to ensure the suitability of the treatment. Doctor Nyla is a fully registered GP and so your medical history would be taken into account.

Assuming Coolsculpting is ultimately decided upon, the treatment typically lasts just 60 minutes and this is relaxing ‘me time’ rather than a stressful hour.

Most relax and listen to a podcast, watch the Apple TV we provide or even doze off!

CoolSculpting uses patented Freeze Detect technology, which senses if your skin is being frozen, instead of just your fat. In the unlikely event of this happening, sensors immediately trigger an alarm and the treatment can be halted.

This level of safety prevent issues such as cold burns and ulcers, these can be common with other, less sophisticated versions of fat freezing.

Your comfort is ensured by the placement of a thermal coupling gelpad to the skin’s surface prior to the machine’s applicators being used.

During the session itself, you’ll lay on our comfy couch, and we’ll attach and program our CoolSculpting machine.

The machine safely targets just the fat cells – this because fat cells freeze at a higher temperature than the surrounding tissue would – the process is carefully monitored to target the fat but leave other cells completely unaffected.

Post treatment, we’ll remove the machine and use shockwaves to massage the skin to help the fat cells break down further.

When Are Results Visible and Do They Last

To answer the second part first, the great news is that results are permanent as the fat cells have been killed off and are gone for good.

Naturally, we recommend you exercise and eat well to remain healthy and prevent future fat build-up elsewhere on the body but as for the treated area – there is no reason to think a fat pocket will ever develop again.

Results appear within three weeks, this as the fat cells are killed off and expelled from the body but full, final results are likely to be visible around six months later.

You will get thinner and healthier looking as the weeks pass, before reaching your ultimate, perfect new look.
