How does Coolsculpting eliminate stubborn fat without surgery?

Some years ago scientists discovered that fat cells can be destroyed by chilling them to extremely low temperatures.

This knowledge led to the development of fat-freezing treatments like Coolsculpting which use a technique called controlled cooling to kill fat cells.

What happens during Coolsculpting near Hale?

During Coolsculpting a handheld device is used to apply suction to the skin in the problem area.

Once the skin has been drawn into the device, the fat cells are subjected to controlled cooling. The device is fitted with a gel pad which protects the skin from becoming too cold and creates a good seal to provide suction.

The treated area is massaged at the end of the session to encourage the break up of the fat cells and enhance the effects of treatment.

When will I see the transformation in my body?

Some patients see an improvement straight after one session however with Coolsculpting the changes will continue to develop over time. It can take up to six months for the body to remove all the dead cells and your appearance will continue to get better during this time period.

Will aftercare be required?

A few simple precautions will ensure that you feel and look your best as soon as possible after treatment.

Any bruising or swelling will be made worse if you take Ibuprofen or any anti-inflammatory medication so try to avoid this after your treatment session
Only touch the treated area with clean hands and use tepid water to wash it
Coolsculpting can make your skin feel dry. Products containing Hyaluronic Acid provide excellent moisturisation.
It will help your body to get rid of the dead fat cells if you keep hydrated and drink plenty of water.
Infection affecting the health of your skin can be spread by dirty makeup brushes, and applicators so make sure that they are clean or ideally avoid makeup altogether for a few days.

Will I have a consultation before starting treatment?

From the North

Take the A34 south until you reach the B5359/Alderley Road roundabout. Take the first exit onto Alderley Road, and we are on the right, opposite The Merlin Hotel.

From the South

Take Junction 18 from the M6 towards Congleton.

At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto Middlewich Road, then turn right and then left onto Macclesfield Road.

At the roundabout, take the second exit to stay on Macclesfield Road.

At the next roundabout, take the third exit onto Alderley Road.

After 4 miles, Dr. Nyla Medispa is opposite The Merlin Hotel on your left.
