Cheek fillers are a use for dermal fillers, these minimally invasive injections that restore volume to the skin and counteract signs of ageing.

The fillers work to naturally counteract the signs of ageing or sunken skin. The problems that lead to these issues are through a reduction or lack of collagen or elastin creation.

The fillers contain hyaluronic acid, this a naturally occurring substance in the body and one that creates collagen creation.

The skilful injection of fillers therefore works to replenish collagen over time and so the skin becomes fuller, more voluminous and more youthful.

This is a very different approach to cosmetic surgery, where any results are via cutting and moving skin and tissue. Fillers, instead, work from the inside, simply replenishing natural substances that have become depleted.

When administered with skill by an expert, dermal fillers deliver visible results but ones that remain natural looking.

The client should feel they look a great version of themselves, not that they have the clear look of ‘work having been done’.

The results boost appearance of course, the cheeks can look less sunken, more youthful, they stop being a feature that may be noticeable for prematurely ageing the face.

However, the impact can also cross into mental health and self esteem, this true of so many procedures to boost appearance.

We are all conscious of our appearance and so it is common for aspects to worry us. For someone for whom their cheeks are a concern, a quick procedure to address this can boost self confidence and self esteem, it can impact on multiple areas of life such as work and relationships.

Choosing A Clinician for Fillers

Regardless of who you choose, please ensure they have medical qualifications and the highest standards of care.

Facial aesthetics is an under regulated field and so almost anyone can start offering cheek fillers, as remarkable as this may seem.

It is clearly unwise to allow just anyone to administer injections into your face and, quite apart from the safety implications, the results will also be mixed at best.

Use too little filler and the results might be invisible, use too much or with an unskilled hand and the results can look anything but natural.

Any clinic offering prices that heavily undercut more reputable locations are also likely to be using low quality filler.

Please do not take the risk for a small saving with an unregulated clinician.

Cheek fillers are quick to administer, the process typically taking just 20 to 30 minutes.

The process is straightforward and virtually pain free. A numbing cream is used and then the injection or injections are skilfully administered.

Our clinic is relaxing, designed to put the client at ease, with professional, polite staff and an atmosphere in keeping with a spa. We want clients to feel pampered – this is deserved ‘me time’.

Really, though, the process begins a stage earlier with a consultation – again, we wish to apply the standards you would expect of a full cosmetic procedure to minimally invasive alternatives. We would discuss the results achievable and ensure a procedure is truly in a client’s best interest.

No – beyond very mild, short term pain and some potential swelling there will not be side effects.

This is very different to a full surgical procedure that will inevitably come with a period of rest and recuperation, including time off work.

Dermal fillers do not produce results that last permanently, but they can last a significant period of time.

It will vary by person, but results will typically last for at least six months and in many cases beyond this.

It is then usual to come for a quick repeat injection to restore the more youthful look once more.

The cost will vary dependant on the amount of filler required, but filler treatments cosy from around £300 at the time of writing.

A full, obligation free quote would be provided at consultation.

Liverpool is a city in Merseyside, north west England with a population just shy of 500,000 as of the 2011 census.

Liverpool’s growth has been relatively recent – and rapid. As of the 16th century it had a population of just 500 people.

This was to change over the next two centuries as Liverpool become a major trading port, its growth reflecting that of the north west in general through the Industrial Revolution.

The city is of course now one of the world’s greatest, notable across many disciplines and industries.

However, it is perhaps through culture that Liverpool’s legacy is the greatest, the city home to a staggering array of bands, sporting stars and teams and other cultural icons.

Liverpool FC are the current Premier League champions, while city rivals Everton also have a rich history.

Both the world’s most successful all-male band and all-female bands include members from Liverpool – the Spice Girls and a band called the Beatles. You might have heard of them. John Lennon, Paul McCartney and the boys of course famous Liverpudlians.
