How does Profhilo work?
Profhilo plays a pivotal role in the repair process of dermal tissue, particularly in cases of acne or scars, and ageing skin tissue characterised by alterations in elastic fibres and collagen. It also addresses issues related to loss or compromised adipose tissue. Tissue remodelling is achievable in as little as two sessions, spaced four weeks apart, by utilising various aesthetic injection techniques which target the superficial subcutaneous layer.
Results indicate that 70% of subjects experience improvement by at least one grade, according to the Facial Volume Loss Scale Range 2-3. About Profhilo
The BAP technique is employed to administer Profhilo, to the five most receptive areas of the face. Once injected beneath the skin, Profhilo integrates with the tissues, helping to rebuild a robust structure that enhances collagen and elastin levels for a fuller, more resilient complexion.
Depending on the level of concern, one or two treatments may be necessary, followed by a maintenance treatment a few months later. Results typically appear within 8 weeks, unveiling a smoother, tighter and more lifted appearance. Am I a good candidate for Profhilo?
Profhilo is suitable for many people, both men and women, particularly for those aged between 30 and 50.
How is Profhilo applied?
The use of the BAP technique identifies five anatomically receptive areas of the face with an absence of large vessels and nerve branches. This minimises the risks while maximising the dispersion of the product in the malar and submalar areas. 0.2ml of Profhilo is then injected at the superficial subcutaneous layer.
How frequently will I need Profhilo treatments?
Initially, two treatments are administered with a one-month interval, followed by a maintenance treatment after two months, depending on the extent of ageing. The effects of Profhilo typically last for six months.
Is Profhilo a filler or a biorevitaliser?
Neither – Profhilo is an innovative approach to skin bioremodelling. It’s widely considered to be a game-changing treatment for skin repair and rejuvenation and can’t be defined by either of these two categories of treatment.
Are there any post-treatment care guidelines I should follow?
While Profhilo treatments typically don’t disrupt daily activities, it’s crucial to refrain from touching the treated area or applying makeup for approximately 6 hours post-treatment. Additionally, it’s advisable to avoid strenuous activities for up to 24 hours.
To help make this process as pain free as possible, a numbing cream can be applied to the skin prior to the treatment.
