How does Ultherapy work?

Ultherapy uses micro-focused ultrasound energy to generate a thermal effect deep within the skin. This energy bypasses the surface of the skin to stimulate the production of new collagen and elastin in the foundational layers—the same layers typically addressed in a surgical facelift. The result is a gradual, natural lifting and tightening of the skin over time.

What does the treatment feel like? Is it painful?

Is there any downtime?

This is one of Ultherapy’s greatest advantages. There is no downtime. You can return to your normal activities immediately after your procedure without any post-treatment restrictions or requirements. Your skin might appear flushed, but the redness should disappear within a few hours.

How quickly will I see results and how long do they last?

Some patients see an initial effect right after their treatment, but the real results appear over 2–3 months as your body naturally regenerates collagen. Since the procedure stimulates your own collagen production, how long the results last really depends on you. The treatment produces new collagen on the inside, but you will continue to age naturally. Most patients find their results last well over a year, and touch-up treatments can keep pace with the ageing process.
