Skin tightening at our London clinic
-
Non-surgical skin tightening is one of the most requested treatment categories at our Mayfair clinic. Patients come to us with loose or crepey skin on the face, neck, jawline, décolletage, stomach, arms and knees, and want a result that looks lifted without looking ‘done’. Our approach is to match the technology to the skin, not the other way around.
We run the widest range of proven skin tightening devices available in one London clinic, including Ultherapy, Ultraformer 3, Morpheus8, Exilis Elite and ULTRAcel Q+, plus Dr Nyla’s signature Transformation Facelift. Every treatment is carried out or supervised by a GMC-registered doctor. Every consultation is a full clinical assessment rather than a sales conversation.

Which skin tightening treatment is right for you?
-
There is no single best skin tightening treatment. The right option depends on the depth and cause of the laxity, your skin type, your downtime tolerance and the area being treated. Here is how we think about each device at consultation.
Ultherapy
FDA-cleared micro-focused ultrasound that reaches the SMAS layer, the same layer a surgical facelift lifts. Best for jawline, brow, neck and décolletage where the skin still has some elasticity. Results develop over three months. Read more about our Ultherapy London treatment.
Ultraformer 3
HIFU at multiple depths, effective on the face and body. A shorter treatment time than Ultherapy with a different depth profile. Often chosen for the jawline, cheeks and stomach. Results continue to improve for up to six months. See full details of Ultraformer 3.
Morpheus8
Radiofrequency microneedling that reaches the deeper dermal and subcutaneous layers. Best for patients who need skin tightening and texture improvement together, for example post-acne skin or early jowling. Suitable for all skin tones, including darker skin types where some other energy devices are contraindicated. More on Morpheus8 at our London clinic.
Exilis Elite
Monopolar radiofrequency combined with ultrasound, delivered through a smooth applicator. A comfortable, no-downtime treatment typically chosen for the face, neck and stomach. Best suited to mild to moderate laxity. An award-winning option that has been part of our clinic offering for many years.
ULTRAcel Q+
A multi-platform device combining radiofrequency, HIFU and fractional microneedling in a single protocol. Useful when a patient presents with laxity, fine lines and texture concerns together and wants to address all three in one treatment block.
Transformation Facelift
Dr Nyla’s signature multi-modality protocol. It combines several of the above technologies with precision injectables over a six-week programme to produce a non-surgical facelift result. The protocol is only available under Dr Nyla’s direct supervision. See the full Transformation Facelift page.

What causes skin laxity?
-
Skin laxity happens when the collagen and elastin scaffolding in the dermis weakens faster than the body can replace it. The process is accelerated by sun exposure, smoking, rapid weight loss, menopause, genetics and, in recent years, by GLP-1 medication use. The face loses volume in the cheeks and temples before sagging becomes visible in the lower face, which is why addressing jowls often means restoring the support above them as well as tightening below.
For many patients, the visible concern is jowls, a lowered brow, crepey skin on the neck, or loose skin on the stomach after weight loss. Each responds to a slightly different approach, which is why the consultation matters. For a longer read on the lower-face concern specifically, see our detailed guide on how to tighten sagging jowls.

Skin tightening after Mounjaro, Wegovy or Ozempic
-
We see a growing number of London patients who have lost significant weight on GLP-1 medication and are now looking to address the facial and body skin laxity that follows. Rapid weight loss reduces the fat pads that were supporting the overlying skin, and if collagen production has not kept pace, the result is deflation and sagging. Skin tightening treatments can help by stimulating collagen in the thinned tissue. In most cases we pair a skin tightening device with a volume-restoring protocol rather than treating laxity alone. For more on this, see our page on post-Mounjaro facial changes.

Why patients choose our Mayfair clinic
-
Our London clinic is at 32 Dover Street in the heart of Mayfair, a short walk from Green Park, Bond Street and the shops of Piccadilly. Patients come to us from Knightsbridge, Belgravia, Chelsea, Kensington and Marylebone, as well as internationally. Because we offer the full range of skin tightening technologies in one location, patients do not have to clinic-shop to find the device that suits their skin. We assess, we recommend, and where surgery would produce a better outcome for the individual, we say so and refer appropriately.
Dr Nyla Raja is our founder and a Tatler-nominated aesthetic doctor, recognised in the 2025 Best Non-Surgical Facelift category. Our Medical Director, Dr Dean Rhobaye, brings 13 years of plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery experience. Dr Tahera Bhojani-Lynch, also based at Mayfair, has over 25 years of experience in injectables and skin-based treatments.

Your London consultation
-
Every patient has a dedicated consultation before any treatment is booked. This is a clinical appointment, not a discovery call. The doctor reviews your skin, your medical history and the specific areas you want to address. You are told honestly what will and will not work for you, how many sessions are likely to be needed and what the realistic timeline is for visible change.
-
What to expect after skin tightening
-
Downtime varies by device. Ultherapy and Ultraformer 3 typically produce no downtime and only minimal redness. Morpheus8 produces approximately 48 to 72 hours of redness and pinpoint marks as the radiofrequency microneedling sites heal. Exilis Elite has no downtime. Your practitioner will set out exactly what to expect for the specific combination planned for you.
Collagen-stimulating treatments produce gradual results. The tissue remodelling process continues for up to six months after the final session. We photograph you at baseline and at defined review intervals so the change is clearly visible against where you started.

Dr Nyla answers the most common questions. If you have a specific question, our team are on hand. Contact us today to get started.
-
Which skin tightening treatment is best for the London lifestyle?
-
The best treatment depends on your skin, not your postcode. That said, our London patients often prioritise minimal downtime and fast turnaround. Ultherapy, Ultraformer 3 and Exilis Elite typically require no recovery time. Morpheus8 has around 48 to 72 hours of visible redness. The Transformation Facelift runs over six weeks but most individual sessions fit into a lunch break.
-
How much does skin tightening cost in London?
-
At our Mayfair clinic, skin tightening treatment plans start from £250. Individual device sessions including Ultherapy, Ultraformer 3 and Morpheus8 start from £500. The Transformation Facelift, Dr Nyla’s signature protocol, starts from £750. A tailored plan is quoted at consultation because it depends on the area, the device chosen and the number of sessions required.
-
Who performs skin tightening at your Mayfair clinic?
-
All skin tightening treatments in London are performed by GMC-registered aesthetic doctors. The lead practitioners at our Mayfair clinic include Dr Nyla Raja (GMC 6057913), Dr Dean Rhobaye (GMC 6092830) and Dr Tahera Bhojani-Lynch (GMC 3323786).
-
Is non-surgical skin tightening as effective as a facelift?
-
-
How long do results last?
-
Results from collagen-stimulating skin tightening treatments typically last between 12 and 24 months, depending on the device, your age, your skin condition and lifestyle factors such as sun exposure and smoking. Most patients have a maintenance session every 12 to 18 months to sustain the effect.
-
Can skin tightening treat loose skin after weight loss on Monjaro, Wegovy or Ozempic?
-
Yes. Skin laxity after rapid weight loss on GLP-1 medication is something we now see regularly in our London clinic. The approach is usually combined: a skin tightening device to stimulate collagen in the thinned tissue, and, where appropriate, injectables to restore lost volume. We review your weight-loss history at consultation to plan a safe protocol.
-
Is there any downtime after skin tightening?
-
Downtime depends on the device. Ultherapy, Ultraformer 3 and Exilis Elite typically produce no downtime and only minimal temporary redness. Morpheus8 produces around 48 to 72 hours of redness and pinpoint microneedling marks. You will be given clear aftercare instructions before you leave the clinic.
-
How soon will I see results?
-
Some patients see initial tightening immediately after treatment, particularly after Ultherapy and Ultraformer 3. The main results develop gradually over eight to twelve weeks as collagen regenerates, and continue to improve for up to six months after the final session.
-
Is skin tightening safe for darker skin tones?
-
Most of our skin tightening devices are safe for all Fitzpatrick skin types. Morpheus8 is particularly well suited to darker skin tones because its radiofrequency energy passes through the skin without targeting melanin. Your doctor will assess your skin type at consultation and recommend the safest effective option for you.
