Also known by the full name of IV Nutrition Therapy, the drips deliver a specially blended mix of vitamins, minerals and nutrients directly into the bloodstream.

The drips are applied intravenously through the insertion of a cannula into a vein in your arm.

The body can quickly absorb the nutrients and the impact is far greater than with alternatives such as oral supplements. The supplements only deliver around 15% of the active ingredient that is administered through the drips.

There is not a singular IV Drip option – or at least not when you entrust Doctor Nyla with this treatment. Instead, her Harley Street clinic offers a range of treatments, each one designed to tackle subtly different requirements.

Of course, you may not be sure which IV drip option is best suited to your needs. Doctor Nyla would always discuss suitability at a consultation. A further benefit of IV drips is that you can always try another at a later date. They all have wonderful benefits, you can find out which one works best for you over time.

B12 Booster Shot. Vitamin B is essential for healthy skin, eyes and hair; it also aids liver and nervous system function.

The B12 booster increases red blood cell production, but it also helps to regulate sleep patterns, your mood and appetite. It can also help with metabolism, cholesterol and brain health

Detox fat burning. This IV drop option encourages a better metabolism, helping the body to function better and burn off stubborn fat. Toxin levels are also reduced and so your energy levels increase.

Immune booster. This drip reduces stress and leaves you feeling better, faster and energised. The IV drip consists of vitamin C, zinc, vitamin B and powerful anti-oxidants. Tiredness be gone!

Mood booster. Who doesn’t want to feel more relaxed in mind and body? For those who find themselves in stressful situations, this can be a wonderful option. It can be suitable ahead of what we know will be stressful, or even afterwards, as we look to relieve the stress a little.

Stress can greatly impact all aspects of our health, addressing it via an IV drip hugely beneficial to our overall health.

Performance Booster. If you have an active lifestyle, then this IV Drip may be the one for you. It is packed with high levels of energy-boosting B vitamins, powerful amino acid are also included, so too taurine, glutamine and carnitine. This drip can reduce recovery time after exercise and so is popular with those with energetic, sporty lifestyles.

Anti-ageing. An IV drip can help to tackle so many signs of ageing, helping to leave the skin glowing and rejuvenated. The mix of vitamins and minerals is ideal, with vitamins C, B-12, B5 and B6 included, so too other minerals that will stimulate collagen creation and leave you looking years younger.

As a leading expert in non-surgical treatments, Doctor Nyla always begins with a detailed, obligation free consultation. This would be the patient’s opportunity to discuss their aims for treatment, and Doctor Nyla to suggest a bespoke package of treatments that can deliver the changes you need.

The process itself would see a cannula inserted into a vein in your arm, you can then relax for around half an hour as the formula is absorbed into your bloodstream.

The process really is that simple, we will then remove the drip and you can go about the rest of your day as usual – hop on the underground and head back to work or, better still, enjoy a day relaxing in the capital.

There is no recovery period, quite the opposite in fact. The results are often felt by the end of the treatment, if not very shortly afterwards,

IV Drips Key Facts

  • The results of the dips typically last around two weeks. After this, it is common to have a repeat treatment – this can be with the same drip, or a slightly different blend.
  • A patient can have up to nine treatments in a six-month period.
  • The result is pain free – at most, you may feel very mild discomfort from the insertion of the cannula – this is minimised through the use of a numbing gel.
  • Side effects are limited to some swelling, or redness where the injection is made. In very rare cases, there can be win inflammation and blood clots
  • IV drips are a safe procedure when administered by a medical professional. Doctor Nyla is an advocate for higher standards in non-surgical treatments, her safety levels in part why she is the holder of the Clinic of the Year award
  • There are some medicines that should not be combined with IV drips. Doctor Nyla would always factor in your full medical history and only recommend a treatment that is in your best interest
