Ultraformer 3 Skin Tightening

Ultraformer treatment is often recommended to men and women who are affected by lines, wrinkles and sagging skin on the face; especially when jowls and flattened cheeks affect the youthful definition of the face.

As well as being an effective anti-ageing procedure for the face, Ultraformer 3 can produce successful results when used on the stomach, hips, thighs, upper arms and flanks.

It is likely that you may feel the skin getting warm, but your practitioner will take the necessary steps to ensure it does not get hot.

At first, you may find the treated area looks red and slightly swollen. But this should dissipate within a matter of hours. It would not be unusual for you to also experience a tingling sensation, but this too should only be temporary.

With Ultraformer 3 you may be advised to: avoid prolonged exposure to the sun (and ensure you wear a high SPF – 50+), avoid alcohol for up to 48 hours, not to take hot showers and baths, be careful not to scratch your skin and to drink plenty of water.

During an Ultraformer treatment, High Intensity Focused Ultrasound delivers ultrasound waves into varying layers of the skin, without damaging the skin’s surface.

The energy heats the targeted areas to temperatures of 65-75°C. This is the best range to encourage collagen production and facilitate tissue contraction, which restores a more youthful structure and provides more toned and tighter skin.

Ultraformer 3 can be used to treat areas including the eyebrows, eyelids, cheeks, neck and chest, as well as the hips, thighs, lower legs, arms and abdomen.

Before you have your treatment, we’ll firstly invite you in for a consultation to discuss the areas you would like to treat, and your suitability for treatment, taking your medical history into account. We’ll then clean and sterilise and mark out the treatment area.

We then use a series of Ultraformer device attachments, dependent on the skin depth being treated. Ultrasound will be delivered to the skin, causing the muscles to contract. Collagen production is also initiated, resulting in the lifting and tightening of the skin.

The whole treatment takes between 30 minutes – 1 hour, and is especially great for those with very busy schedules who need a fast treatment. No downtime is required either, and you can resume your normal activities straight away.

Results are noticeable immediately, and as the collagen regeneration process continues, your skin will continue to improve for up to 6 months post-treatment.

For the best results, we recommend 2 treatments 3 – 6 months apart to speed up the healing process.
