ThermaVein Facial Vein Removal
ThermaVein facial vein removal takes a different approach to other vein removal treatments on the aesthetics market. The procedure delivers pulses of energy directly to the vein using a handheld probe. A process known as thermocoagulation helps to seal the walls of the vein (also known as spider veins or venous flares), causing them to permanently vanish.

How does ThermaVein work?
-
The development of thread veins is often due to inflammation or stress on the skin. When they appear on the face, it is often a result of genetics, sun exposure, alcohol consumption, hormonal changes or the condition of Rosacea. They can be identified by their thin strand-like appearance, often red or purple in colour, and can appear singularly or as part of a small cluster. The ThermaVein treatment addresses each strand individually, with optimal results usually achieved through a series of up to 3 sessions.
The treatment is a popular choice for both men and women at our Medispa clinics in Cheshire, Liverpool and London. Results will appear gradually, within a few days of treatment, as the vein disperses and disappears to leave the skin looking smooth and evenly toned.

-
Am I suitable for ThermaVein facial vein removal?
-
This treatment can be suitable for most skin types and tones, and may benefit anyone who is affected by the appearance of thread veins on the face. The treatment can produce successful results that will often see the permanent removal of the unwanted concern. However, it is important to point out that this does not mean that a thread vein may not develop in a different area, in the future.

Is this treatment safe?
-
Heat energy is the innovation behind ThermaVein facial vein removal. It is a safe treatment that targets the vein individually, without damaging any of the skin or tissue that surrounds it. There is no risk of burns, necrosis or skin discolouration, and it will not disturb the main vascular system.

Are there any side effects or risks?
-
Following the treatment, you may find that your skin looks a little flushed. The treatment may take a few days to develop, during which time the dispersed vein may cause the appearance of a bruise.
-
Is there any ThermaVein aftercare to consider?
-
As the skin may be slightly sensitive, using gentle products and ensuring you have applied a suitable SPF will help to prevent any irritation. Talking to your practitioner, or having a skin analysis at Dr Nyla Clinic can recommend the right products to suit your skin.
