Before the treatment we will need to design a customised hair line that is similar to your previous look. The Artas iX system is a highly advanced hair restoration procedure that integrates robotic precision with 3D modelling to ensure your new hair looks as natural as it looks wonderful. The process involves harvesting strands of hair from other parts of the head (where hair growth is full) and transplanting them into the follicles of the affected area. Artas can graft up to 1,000 hairs per hour; transferring over 3,000 follicular grafts in one treatment session – a much faster rate than other hair restoration techniques.
Most patients will start to notice some new hair growth in around 2 months of the treatment, with around 6 or 9 months showing a thicker, more visible result. By using your own hair it will help to ensure the new hair blends in well – being of the same colour and texture. Pattern baldness and alopecia can affect both men and women. These conditions can often be experienced as a person ages, but it is not necessarily older adults who can be affected. At Doctor Nyla we will assess your concerns and any possible causes before we can recommend a plan of action and design the ideal hairline for you. Many people are suitable for this procedure and find the results are more than satisfactory; lasting for a very long time – if not permanently.
The Artas iX hair grafting system is a safe and effective solution to thinning hair and areas of hair loss. The procedure uses your own hair follicles as donors for the procedure, meaning your new hair growth will be the same as the rest of your hair, and is less likely to be rejected.
You may find that the transplant of hair follicles can produce some very slight discomfort. The experts at Doctor Nyla can provide methods of mild anaesthesia so that you feel more comfortable. This can be discussed at your pre-treatment consultation.
You may find that a period of 2 days is needed to recover fully from the treatment, however, you should be able to continue with your day fairly normally. The treatment area may look a little swollen and feel slightly tender.
You should wait for around 3 days before you start washing your hair; and even then, you should only use luke-warm water and not apply too much pressure to your head. Using a hair dryer should be avoided for up to 2 weeks. Your head should be left uncovered for around 3 days and heavy lifting should be avoided for up to 2 weeks. Styling your hair – including curling, cutting or dying – should only take place after 3 months has lapsed, to allow for the new follicles to settle in place.
