What is Cellulite?
The puckered and bumpy skin that appears on the thighs, buttocks and stomach is caused by changes in the lower layers of the skin. For unknown reasons, the fat cells in the affected areas become enlarged and start to push up against the skin. The connective fibres attaching your skin to your muscles are put under strain and begin to pull your skin downwards, causing the dimpling effect on the skin. There also appear to be changes in how blood is supplied to the surrounding tissues, resulting in fluid retention and further puffiness.
Unfortunately, diet and exercise will have little effect on severe cases of cellulite which can still affect women with relatively low body fat. It seems likely that hormones play a role as cellulite is seldom seen in young children and affects women more than men.
Dr Nyla Medispa offers cellulite help near Manchester
We have a pre-treatment consultation with all our clients, enabling us to design a bespoke treatment plan. Our founder, Dr Nyla, is committed to using the best treatments and products available. We use three powerful anti-cellulite therapies to make you much happier with the appearance of your body.
Unison cellulite treatment
The Unison cellulite treatment addresses the underlying causes of cellulite; damaged collagen fibres, enlarged fat cells, loss of elasticity in the skin, the build-up of toxins, and poor blood flow/circulation.
Collagen is essential for firm, smooth skin, and boosting its production in the area affected by cellulite will support underlying tissues and improve the texture and tone of your skin. The Unison treatment encourages your skin to produce more collagen with a combination of acoustic wave and radiofrequency technology directed into the middle layer of your skin with a handheld device. The impact of this treatment will also encourage healthier blood flow and allow the tissues to drain excess fluid more effectively.
A course of four 30-minute sessions will prompt your body to produce a long-lasting improvement in the appearance of your skin. The Unison treatment will cause warmth in your tissues, so you may experience a slight redness afterward, but this will soon settle down.
M22 laser treatment
The M22 laser treatment platform is a multi-functional treatment that offers a solution to a wide variety of skin problems. One of its applications, ResurFX, uses laser technology to resurface skin affected by the bumpiness of cellulite.
The M22 platform is also an effective treatment for age spots, birthmarks, freckles, rosacea, and other pigmentation issues. Our highly skilled therapists also use it to tackle vascular and pigmented lesions such as thread veins and port-wine stains.
Some of our clients start seeing fabulous results after their first treatment session. Typically, the best results become noticeable between three and five sessions, with your skin looking better in texture and tone.
Exilis Elite
This revolutionary treatment uses radiofrequency technology to reduce the size of fat cells and then form them into loose bundles that can easily be flushed away and absorbed by the body. The radiofrequency waves also encourage the body to produce more collagen, making the skin tightening the skin and smoothing out the bumpiness of cellulite.
After four treatment sessions with the multi-award-winning Exilis Elite, the contours of your body will look firmer, and the appearance of your cellulite will be much reduced.
