The FUE Hair Transplant Cheshire 

The FUE or follicular unit extraction transplant is a tried and tested treatment for many types of hair loss. Unlike other transplant techniques, which involve removing a strip of skin containing healthy follicles, the FUE involves the extraction and re-implantation of individual hair follicles. The FUE offers the client permanent regrowth with minimal scarring. It is a quick and, in skilled hands, very safe treatment that is considered the gold standard amongst hair transplant procedures. 

In the case of male pattern baldness, the FUE transplant surgeon removes follicles from the parts of the scalp unlikely to be affected by the balding process, ensuring permanent regrowth. In other cases, the surgeon will select the area of the scalp with the thickest and healthiest growth. Our highly trained technicians will check the follicles and carefully preserve the healthiest. Once the appropriate number of follicles has been harvested, the surgeon then implants each follicle individually into the scalp to create the desired effect. The ARTAS technique Cheshire 

The ARTAS hair transplant is the world-leading robotic hair transplant system, and Dr Nyla Medispa is the first UK clinic to offer this ground-breaking technique. It is similar to the FUE, but the transplant is performed by a robotic transplant system under the surgeon’s control rather than manually. The ARTAS is a quicker procedure as its stereoscopic vision system and AI algorithms allow it to identify the healthiest donor follicles while they are still in your scalp. It then simultaneously harvests and implants the donor follicles.

How quickly will I see results?

The results will not be immediate, but you will start to see significant regrowth after six to nine months although the rate of growth varies from person to person.

During the procedure to remove and reimplant the follicles, the surgeon makes incisions that may cause tiny scars. These will only be visible if you cut your hair very short – a number one or two crop. The result will be much thicker hair providing coverage in areas previously covered in sparse hair or none. The regrowth will be permanent and all your own! Finally, YOU will be able to choose your hairstyle rather than your thinning hair dictating your style. You will be able to play sport and swim without worrying about your hair.

Will I need downtime after hair loss treatment?

Both transplants will be performed under local anaesthetic, avoiding the need to recover from a general anaesthetic. Depending on the area treated, it may not be immediately apparent that you have had the procedure. You will not need to wear a bandage, and it may be possible to hide the donor area with a ‘fade’ hair cut or beneath longer hair. Your hair and scalp will need gentle treatment for a while after the transplant as the follicles re-establish themselves and your skin heals. You can wash your hair carefully after three days but should not use any heat to dry it for the first couple of weeks. You must not curl, colour, or dye your hair for three months post-transplant. Your surgeon will give you advice about resuming activities such as exercise.

Arriving By Car

Alderley Edge is only 14 miles from central Manchester or 12 miles from the M6.

From the North:

Take the A34 south until the B5359/Alderley Road roundabout. Take the first exit onto Alderley Road, and we are on the right, opposite The Merlin Hotel.

From the South:

Take Junction 18 from the M6 towards Congleton.

At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto Middlewich Road, then turn right and then left onto Macclesfield Road.

At the roundabout, take the second exit to stay on Macclesfield Road.

At the next roundabout, take the third exit onto Alderley Road.

After 4 miles, Dr. Nyla Medispa is opposite The Merlin Hotel on your left.
