What fillers are used for the tear trough treatment?

Calcium hydroxylapatite
This type of dermal filler stimulates collagen production in the skin which, in turn, adds volume to certain facial areas. However, many practitioners choose not to utilise Calcium hydroxyapatite fillers as there is the risk the undereye area may become overly white after the treatment.
Poly-L-lactic acid
Poly-L-lactic acid filler is a much thicker substance and encourages collagen production. Unlike hyaluronic acid-based dermal fillers, which offer immediate results, this type of filler takes longer to see results, and may take around three monthly treatments to achieve the desired appearance.
Although the results are long-lasting, due to the thick substance, there is the risk of lumps occurring underneath the skin. Hyaluronic acid (HA)

What hyaluronic acid products are available for dermal eye filler?
When it comes to tear trough fillers, there are certain products and well-established brands that have been FDA-approved, and are popular on the UK market:
Restylane
Restylane is applied in certain facial areas to smooth wrinkles and other fine lines. Different products can be used in various ways, including lip enhancement and adding volume to the cheeks. This hyaluronic acid-based filler is primarily used for the cheeks and lips; however, it can help address dark circles under the eyes.
Restylane products include:

Belotero

How can you reduce swelling and bruising after dermal eye fillers?
After dermal eye fillers, you will be able to see results immediately. However, there may be slight swelling and bruising around the treatment area. Make sure you are staying hydrated by drinking plenty of water and avoiding alcohol and blood-thinning medications (such as aspirin) before and after treatment.
