The Best Treatment For Stretch Marks

One of our favorite things about summer here at Dr. Nyla is the chance to relax by, and take a dip in, a refreshing pool during a hot holiday. However, as some of us know, the makeup and lotions we use to cover up stretch marks can limit our fun. Therefore, jump on in with the best treatments for stretch marks.

One of our favourite things about summer here at Dr Nyla is the chance to relax by, and take a dip in, a refreshing pool during a hot holiday. We just can’t wait! Our skin glistens as we tan, and looks fabulous as the water keeps us cool. However, as some of us have found out, and many of you will know, the makeup and lotions we use to cover up stretch marks can limit our fun. Perhaps you gained them during puberty, or due to pregnancy, weight gain or body-building and are embarrassed by their noticeable red, purple or white colour. Don’t let their appearance ruin your pool time.

Enerpeel

Enerpeel is a chemical peel with a difference, supplying the skin with ingredients that modify, restructure and revive skin that could do with some love. We offer three marvellous treatments, each with specific stretch-mark subduing powers:

Mandelic Acid 40%: This anti-bacterial beauty exfoliates and rejuvenates the skin, cleans out pores, prevents melanin growth that could further develop your stretch mark’s appearance and makes your skin glow.

Salicylic Acid 30%: Not only great at lightening stretch marks, but can also prevent wrinkles, crow’s feet and outbreaks of acne.

Pyruvic Acid 50%:  Especially wonderful at relieving red stretch marks, as well as treating hyperpigmentation, fine lines and acne.

What makes them different? Unlike other chemical peels, they don’t leave behind rashes, marks or cause irritation. Brilliant! Minimal downtime too. That’s also brilliant!

BTL Exilis Elite

Also great for treating stretch marks is BTL Exilis Elite, which uses radio frequency to lightly heat your skin, encouraging collagen production for cell replenishment. This smooths out and contours the area, tightening it in the process. It’s an extremely safe procedure, with temperature control based on your skin’s temperature.

The number of sessions will depend on the severity of your stretch marks, however, 4 sessions are usually required for the desired effect.

ResurFX

ResurFX uses laser microbeams to reach deeper skin layers to encourage collagen and elastin production. It does this by removing the top layer of the epidermis which boosts recovery, reducing the visible signs of the marks, such as their colouring.

3-5 sessions are usually needed for effective and desired results, each lasting 15-20 minutes.

ResurFX is a marvellous part of the M22 machine, which can be used to treat acne, freckles, wrinkles and scars among other conditions.

Dermapen

Dermapen works by vibrating small needles into the skin, creating micro-punctures which stimulates the healing process with collagen, elastin and fibroblasts production. This helps to fix the stretched connective tissue. The new skin covers the stretch marks and creates a contoured and revitalised look. 3 treatments are recommended for refreshed and beautiful-looking skin.

Intracel

Combining radiofrequency, ultrasound and micro needling is Intracel, which targets the stretch marks by piercing through the skin encouraging collagen, elastin and fibroblasts production for natural healing. This also smooths and tightens the skin, with results continuing to improve for up to 6 months after the 1st treatment. It’s the treatment that keeps on giving!

No matter the location of your stretch marks – whether it’s your stomach, thighs, breasts or arms – let us help you fix them. Contact us today to discover how we can help.
